2HG Rating
40/100
Loses value in 2HG: duel-shaped card, monarch / initiative.
- −6Duel-shaped card
Cards that reference 'the opponent' or single-combat framing lose reach when the table has two opponents.
- −4Monarch / initiative
The monarch is still one player, not the team, and the other team can send both players' creatures at that one head in a single combined attack.
Ratings start at a neutral 50 and are adjusted by rules derived from 2HG's structure — shared 60 life, shared turns, two opponents. They'll be recalibrated against real play rates once teams start submitting decklists.
Oracle text
At the beginning of your end step, if there is no monarch, target opponent becomes the monarch. Whenever a creature attacks one of your opponents, if that player is the monarch, that creature gets +1/+1 and gains trample until end of turn.
